Animal's Habitat: location in the world they live, type of habitat, and type of home |
Cheetahs are found in southwestern Asia and in Africa. They live in grasslands and in savannas where they can find tall grass and bushes to walk and sleep in. Cheetahs move frequently, even with cubs, and seldom spend more than a single night in one place, so they don't make homes for themselves.

Animals
Living Habits: eating, sleeping and moving. |
Cheetahs are carnivores; they eat meat. They eat gazelles, impalas, birds, rabbits, and other small animals. To sleep, cheetahs find protected places in brush and grass. They lay hidden, sleeping. Cheetahs hunt by stalking their prey. This means they move very, very slowly so other animals can't see them. They then burst into full speed. Cheetahs are very nimble while running at high speeds. They can make quick and sudden turns while running after prey.
