Living Habits: eating, sleeping and moving
Black rhinos eat leaves, buds and shoots of plants, bushes and trees. The white rhino feeds on grasses. Rhinos are herbivores, meaning they eat only plants. Rhinos sleep both standing up and laying down. Rhinos move by shear force. They punch their way through thick bushes and sometimes small trees. They often make a trail that other animals can use. Rhinos can turn around rapidly to face danger. If they are threatened, they can charge at speeds of up to 30 miles per hour.
