Lions eat other animals. They eat zebras, antelopes, giraffes, and warthogs.

Lions live in a group called a "pride."

Lions are found in Africa.

Lions live in grasslands and plains. Lions do not like to live in jungles.

 

Physical Description (what they look like)

Adults are 4 feet tall. They are 8 feet long.

Lions are brown.

They look strong.

There are thousands of lions in Africa.

 

Fun Facts

  • Lions have shaggy fur on their heads called a mane.
  • A lion's roar can be heard for five miles.
  • Lions are the only cats that live in groups.
