Neurons are really nerve cells. When you were born you had 100 billion neurons.
Neurons pass messages to other neurons. This process keeps going and going until it reaches the brain. Then the message goes back to where ever it needs to go.
Neurons have finger-like things called dendrites and arm-like things called axons. Dendrites receive messages. Axons send messages.
