What does it symbolize or represent?

The statue symbolizes unity and freedom. It also represents Lincoln's strength and kindness.

 


Facts about this symbol:

1.   The Lincoln Memorial helps us to remember the life of Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States.

2.   The memorial looks like a Greek temple with 36 columns. It was finished in 1922.

3.   Inside the building is a huge statue of Lincoln sitting in a chair.

4.  Carved on the inside walls are speeches Lincoln gave.
