In college he received a Bachelor of Science degree in aeronautical engineering at Purdue University and a Master in Science degree from the University of Southern California. He knew that he wanted to be in the sky.

Armstrong became a astronaut with NASA. On July 20, 1969 Neil walked on the moon. He was the first person to walk on the moon. Millions of people watched on their TV's. He said "That's one small step for man, and one giant leap for mankind." Neil became the greatest hero in space exploration. |
