Muhammad Ali was born January 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky.

He is still alive.

Accomplishments
 

Muhammad Ali is famous because he is one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time.

Young Life and Family
 

Muhammad Ali was born Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr.

As a kid he enjoyed riding his bike.

In high school he won 100 out of 108 boxing matches. He was very successful.

Adult Life
 

In 1960 he won the Olympic Gold medal for boxing.

In 1964, he turned professional. He beat Sonny Liston for the heavyweight championship.

Ali was also supporter of civil rights.

In 1967 he refused to fight in the war in Vietnam because a religious reasons. His title was taken away. In 1974 he won his title back.

He now has Parkinson's disease. (Parkinson's Disease in a disease where you are unable to control some of your muscles.
