Young Life and Family

Anne grew up with her sister Margot, her mom and her dad. She went to school until she was 14. When Anne was 14 the German army entered Amsterdam. To escape the army, she went into hiding in the upstairs of a house with her family. She kept writing in her diary while in hiding. Two years later Anne and her family where found by the Germans. She was taken to a concentration camp. At the camp, she had to work very hard and was not given much to eat. |

She lived only until she was 16 years old. She died in the concentration camp. Anne's diary was found in the annex of the house by Miep Gies, a woman who helped the family survive while they were in hiding. After the war she gave the diary to Anne's father, the only member of the Frank family to survive the Holocaust. |
