Johann Sebastian Bach was born in Eisenach, Germany in 1685.

He died in Leipzig, Germany in 1750.

Accomplishments
 

Johann Sebastian Bach was famous because he was a composer and player of baroque music.

Young Life and Family
  He was taught the violin by his father. His mother read bible stories.

When he was ten his mother and father passed away. He went to live with his brother.

He would walk long distances just to here a musician play.

Adult Life
 

Bach wrote over 1200 compositions. He was also a very good organ player.

During his adulthood he married twice. The first time he married his cousin. Her name was Maria Barbara.

He then married Anna Magdalena. He had 20 children in all. Two were named Johanna and five were named Johann.

He died at age 65 of a stroke.
