sisters.
She was a very shy person and went to two schools and did not make any friends at them. So her mother decided to take her out of school. When she was eight she was sent to a boarding school.

When the Civil War started Clara was working as a nurse. She became known as the "the angel of the battlefield." When the war was over, she went to Europe to rest. She was in another war there. She learned more about war and founded the International Red Cross. The Red Cross is an organization that helps people who have been in disasters. Ten years later she founded the American Red Cross. |
