Amelia Bloomer was born on May 27, 1818 in Homer, New York.

She died on December 30, 1894.

Accomplishments
 

She is famous because she fought for woman's rights.

Young Life and Family
 

She founded a new style of clothing. Women wore baggy pants worn with a short skirt. It was easier to get around in and more freer.

Adult Life
 

In 1849 she founded a magazine called "Lily." She started to include articles about woman's rights. She included things about marriage and voting rights.

She died in 1894.
