Elvis was famous because he was a singer and film star.
Young Life and Family
Elvis started playing the guitar when he was a child.
When he was eight he won five dollars at a music contest.
He started recording music in the 1950's.
Adult
Life
Elvis' first major hits were "Don't Be Cruel," "Hound Dog," and "Heartbreak Hotel."
When he would play the guitar live he would dance.
In 1977 he died of a heart attack caused by the use of drugs.
