Franklin was an only child. He did not go to a grade school because he was tutored at home. He went to Harvard University. He graduated in 1904. He then went to law school and became a lawyer. Franklin was a cousin of Theodore (Teddy) Roosevelt. |

Life

| Roosevelt
spent most of his life in government and politics. In 1910 he was elected
a member of the New York Senate. He later became an assistant secretary
of the United States Navy. He was also elected governor of New York.
In 1921 he got polio. Polio is a disease that effects how your muscles work. He was elected president in 1932, 1936, 1940, and 1944. 4 times! This was more than any other president in U. S. history. He served 3 full terms, and died during his fourth term. |
