| What is snow? |
| Snow
is small crystals of ice that fall from the sky. |
| What causes snow? |
| Small
bits of dirt get carried up into the sky. Crystals of ice form around
the dirt. The crystals stick to one another to make snow flakes. |
| What types of snowflakes are there? |

There are 5 types of snowflakes: thin plates, needles,
hollow columns, sector plates and dendrites. |
| Cool Facts: |
|
Most snowflakes have six sides. Most snowflakes are less than one-half inch across. Snow is white. This is because snow reflects sunlight, which is white, into your eyes.
