Dear St. Louis Park Parents and Community Members: We are excited to welcome you and your student(s) back to a new school year! Under the federal No Child Left Behind legislation, St. Louis Park Public Schools has been identified by the Minnesota Department of Education as a school district not making Adequate Yearly Progress, often referred to as AYP. The identification is due to reading proficiency for African American students. Work is already underway to pinpoint strengths and weaknesses and specific areas in the curriculum that are in need of improvement in order to meet the AYP standard next year. Our district is committed to meeting the learning needs of each and every student in our district. Please watch for updates throughout the school year as we highlight the progress we are making. For more information about AYP, please contact Barbara DeMaster at 952-928-6073 or demaster.barbara@slpschools.org. Thank you for your support of our students and staff. We are looking forward to a great school year! Sincerely, Debra Bowers, Ph.D. Superintendent of Schools Report Cards St. Louis Park Senior High Susan Lindgren Elementary Peter Hobart Elementary St. Louis Park Junior High Park Spanish immersion Aquila Elementary Cedar Manor Elementary | |
