Application Information for 2008-09 Kindergarten Plus Applications for Kindergarten Plus are ongoing - register today! If there are more applications than spaces available, placement will be determined by a lottery. If a lottery is not necessary, applications will be accepted until classes are filled. The district reserves the right to cancel this program if enrollment goals are not met. Do NOT send the application to your child's school. Financial Assistance may be available for qualifying families. Call Deb Cherico, 952-928-6061 for more information. A packet including "payment options" (credit card or check) will be mailed to all Kindergarten Plus participants. ** There will be no "staff" or other discounts. ABSENCES: Tuition will not be reduced due to absence. Lottery Information A lottery will be held for Peter Hobart Primary Center or Aquila Primary Center if more than 24 applications are received for that school by April 28, 2008. A blind lottery selection process will be used to determine acceptance into Kindergarten Plus. Six (6) seats will be designated for students residing in census tracts for each school. These census tracts will be determined by the administration prior to the lottery. If more than six (6) applications are received by the deadline, a lottery will be held for the six (6) seats. The students not selected in this lottery will be placed with all other applicants from their neighborhood school and a lottery will be held for the remaining 18 seats. The students not accepted will be placed on the Kindergarten Plus wait list. These students will automatically be assigned to the traditional 1/2 day kindergarten program in their neighborhood school. As spaces become available, the next student on the wait list will be contacted for admission. Out-of-district students will be placed on a wait list as applications arrive, and will be admitted after St. Louis Park residents are admitted. **Payment Options Credit Card Payments: (Visa or MasterCard): Your tuition will automatically be charged to your credit card around the 15th of the month beginning in August and ending in May. Check payments: A $200 deposit is required if paying monthly by check. The deposit will be applied to your LAST tuition payment in May -- not your first payment in August. Your first tuition payment is due August 15, 2008. Checks should be made payable to St. Louis Park Schools Kindergarten Plus and sent to the address above. PAYMENTS MAY NOT BE MADE AT YOUR CHILD'S SCHOOL.
