Granite

granite

Granite is a very hard rock. It can be used in building. It is usually light gray, white, red, or pink. It might have speckles of black and white which are minerals. Granite can be changed into another kind of rock. If granite is pushed on by other rocks over millions of years, it changes into a new kind of rock called gneiss. Gneiss is called a metamorphic rock because it was made by changing granite.
