sitio de Esteban el plano y la clase de Sra. Wieber!
We are excited to share
our project with you. Esteban el plano, which translates as Flat Stanley,
is spending two weeks with our class. He is from Key Largo School in Key Largo,
Florida.
How is it that he came to visit us? We are participating in the Flat Stanley
Project, an international project based on the book Flat Stanley, by Jeff
Brown. Check out the Official Flat Stanley Project link on the previous page
to learn more, and to see photos of where other Flat Stanleys and Marys have
traveled.
Our project combines reading, writing, technology, and geography. Each day
a few students take care of Esteban.
He
goes to music and gym class with us, as well as to lunch. He doesn't eat much!
He also moves around our classroom while we are working. Throughout the day
the students who are caring for Esteban take photos. He loves to pose! Those
students then help Sra. Bloomgren, our media specialist, to post daily updates
to our webpage.
We are also helping Esteban to keep a journal. Each afternoon, two students
write in his journal, while another group of students make a page for the
class book that we are writing. Esteban will take his journal with him when
he returns to Florida in early February.
