| What is Park Spanish Immersion School? | ||
At Park Spanish Immersion School, students are immersed in a second language (Spanish) while they learn reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, and other subject areas. The curriculum is aligned with the district’s other elementary schools. However, students at PSI learn through the Spanish language rather than English. PSI is one of three public elementary schools in the St. Louis Park School District. The school began in 1996 with two kindergarten classrooms. Each year since then, another grade level has been added, with the school becoming Grades K-6 school in 2002.
