Site Council Update

Feliz Nuevo Año!

Site Council (SC) wishes to extend a warm welcome to its new member Betty Shaw. She will be filling the member seat designated for a Community Representative. Betty has also served St. Louis Park as a past School Board member and is sure to be a great asset to the current PSI SC group.

This month SC is organizing an Open House for later in the year to include local district legislators. The invitation will be geared towards team-building and to assist in communicating successes and challenges regarding PSI. We also hope to incorporate a transition piece in the open house that includes guests from the Jr. High.

Sub-committee work is also dealing with on-going Facility and Safety issues; revising the SC Bylaws to clarify parameters and create a process of succession of information from year to year; and looking at Partnerships as a source of financial, human and material resources.

Congratulations to SC member Nyssa Brown and her nomination for teacher of the year!

The SC Notebook is available for review in the school office. It contains agendas, minutes, and related business for the past (4) years. If you have site based issues or concerns, please contact myself or any of its members so they may be presented and reviewed during our next meeting February 19th.
