Susan Lindgren Elementary School has been named the Best Public School for 2021 in St. Louis Park by Sun Media readers. "Having previously worked at several other buildings in the District, I know that all of our schools are deserving of this award," Susan Lindgren Principal Clarence Pollock said. "We also have many team members at Susan Lindgren who have worked at other schools in the District. Our team at Susan Lindgren would like to share this award with our colleagues across the District."
As I reflect and think about our world, our society and our city, I am so impressed with the amount of kindness and support we all have for our learners. Our learners are resilient, and as a school community we need to assist in keeping the excitement for learning at the forefront. The entire Susan Lindgren team goes above and beyond to support and encourage our students and their families every day.
The Preparing for E-5 In-Person Learning and Distance Learning Academy Guide is now available. This is another resource as we prepare for the transition that begins next week for Grades K-2 and February 1 for Grades 3-5.
Starting February 1, students in grades K-5 who are learning in-person can pick up a free bag breakfast in the morning. These students will also have access to free lunches, but they will need to request them daily with their teacher each morning. Students in grades K-5 who are in the Distance Learning Academy and students in grades 6-12 who are in distance learning can pick-up free meals at St. Louis Park High School ONLY on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
As a part of the process to hear stakeholder perspectives, Superintendent Osei will be hosting Listening Sessions over the course of this school year for students, parents/guardians, and staff to better understand the impact of the implementation of the District's educational delivery models. Click "Read More" to view upcoming listening sessions.

The COVID-19 global pandemic is an unprecedented challenge, which can cause increased worry, stress, anxiety, and confusion for students and adults. During this time of Distance Learning, school counselors, psychologists, social workers and multicultural liaisons are available as resources to families.
We are celebrating St. Louis Park as we begin the 2019-20 school year! A special thanks to 2015 graduate Malik Augustus, who shared his voice to help us tell the story of how this community continues to put its Children First.
