St. Louis Park Public Schools unveiled a new COVID-19 Dashboard on Wednesday, October 21 that will inform families on important data points including active positive cases, number of individuals who are currently quarantining, and the number of individuals who have recovered from COVID-19 and have returned to school. Data will be shared for both students and staff and will be updated every Wednesday.
Beginning October 26, St. Louis Park High School will implement a phased approach to bringing students back to school in the hybrid model. Beginning Monday, November 16, students in Grades K-5 attending St. Louis Park Public Schools will transition to either the full-day hybrid learning model or the Distance Learning Academy. St. Louis Park Public Schools is also providing Virtual Information Sessions via Zoom on Thursday, October 22 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. and 5:30-6:30 p.m. to share information about the transition and educational delivery models.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is extending flexibilities to allow free meals to continue to be available to all children throughout the entire 2020-2021 school year. This unprecedented move by the USDA allows St. Louis Park Public Schools to provide access to free and nutritious food to our families during the COVID-19 pandemic.
St. Louis Park Public Schools will be participating in the Students Voting program this fall. Students in grades 2-12 will participate in this statewide mock election program. This program will be implemented in place of Kids Voting USA in St. Louis Park this year.
The School Board for St. Louis Park Public Schools unanimously approved changes to the District’s Safe Learning Plan, as presented by Superintendent Astein Osei at its Monday, October 12 meeting. The changes involve the Middle School and High School transitioning from distance learning to hybrid learning.
The School Board for St. Louis Park Public Schools voted at its Tuesday, Sept. 29 Business Meeting to move future meetings back to an in-person format in room C350 at St. Louis Park High School. The Board also voted to change the regular start time for future meetings from 7 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. These two changes will occur beginning with the Study Session scheduled for October 12, 2020.
Beginning October 5, students in grades 3-5 will join students in grades K-2 and return to school in a hybrid model, with a combination of learning at school and from home, following the state’s data-driven plan to safely reopen schools based on county case rates of COVID-19. As schools reopen, we will continue to prioritize a safe learning environment for students, teachers, staff, families, and the greater community.
Starting Monday, October 5, when students in grades 3-5 move to the Hybrid model, there will be changes to how students receive free meals from the School Nutrition Department. For students in grades 6-12, who will still be in a distance learning model, free meals will still be available at the six school sites on Mondays or Wednesdays, 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.

This guide contains important information about the three potential learning models (distance, hybrid and in-person), health and safety guidelines and protocols, and other general information on a variety of topics including transportation, school nutrition, childcare, arts, athletics, and much more!
