Digital Learning Plan

  • The use of technology in the classroom benefits all of our students. They are more likely to be engaged in learning and learning can extent beyond the school building in rigorous, authentic experiences. In order to facilitate digital learning, as part of college and career readiness, SLP Schools is in the process of developing a comprehensive digital learning plan. The Digital Learning plan will set the stage for technology use in the district in the coming years. Quality teaching and learning in every classroom that provides rigorous, engaging and relevant learning is the right of every student. Innovative technology use that supports teaching and learning is critical to achieve the results our students need to success in college and careers. Providing our teachers and students with the tools and supports they need to achieve our district and community educational goals is our collective responsibility. Priorities include:

    Schoology
    Schoology is an innovative learning management system (LMS) and social network that makes it easy to create and share academic content with students, colleagues, and families. St. Louis Parks Schools is in Year 2 of implementing Schoology across all classrooms and grade levels from Early Childhood through Grade 12. It is a safe online program that allows teachers to create, manage and share information with their students. Students using Schoology can get class assignments, collaborate with their teacher and classmates, see grades and work on self-paced learning activities. Parents can access class assignments and class grades.
