Gifted & Talented

  • The Gifted Services Program is designed and delivered to develop and nurture the social, emotional, intellectual and creative potential of St. Louis Park students with exceptional abilities. St. Louis Park Gifted Services identifies elementary and secondary students with demonstrated achievement on the Cognitive Ability Test (CogAT) and the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) which is an achievement test. Special attention is paid to the historical pattern of achievement when identifying students who enter our schools from other districts, states and/or countries.

The Program provides services to identified students in grades 2 – 12, located in three elementary schools (K-5) one Spanish immersion school (K-5), one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12). A variety of program elements and services are delivered in each building by experienced gifted service educators who are passionate about meeting the needs of these unique learners. Program components are developed in conjunction with the St. Louis Park School District Mission, Outcomes and Core Values.
