Summer Learning Academy (K-5) Information

    All Summer Academy students are enrolled by invitation only due to one or more of the following reasons:

    • Non-proficiency scores on NWEA/MCA/DRA/FAST/etc. 
    • Teacher recommendation 
    • Chronic Absenteeism 
    • Limited English Proficiency 
    • 1 year or more behind in classwork

    K-5 Summer Learning Academy Information

    Dates: June 17-July 25. School will not be in session the week of July 4th. 
    Schedule: Monday-Thursday (No Fridays) from 8 a.m - 12:30 p.m.
    Location: Peter Hobart Elementary School, 6500 West 31st Street (Air Conditioned)
    Busing: Transportation is provided; bus schedule postcard will be mailed by June 1
    Free breakfast and lunch will be served to all students every day
    Attendance is expected each day

    A student’s continuing progress may indicate that they no longer qualify for the Summer Learning Academy. If a student’s spring progress indicates that they no longer qualify for the Academy, guardian(s) will receive a phone call from Academy staff. A signed copy of a Continuous Learning Plan (CLP) needs to be submitted to your child’s school by May 1st, 2019 to be enrolled in the Academy. Enrollment forms can always be submitted early. All CLPs must be completed by the referring teacher or principal.
