Information about the PELSB online license renewal system can be found at the following link: Educator Licensing

During the 5-year period prior to the expiration of your license:

• Teachers will need to participate in relicensure experiences for a total of 125 clock hours and secure official verification documents for each experience.
• Please review the PELSB Renewal Requirements Chart.
• The Professional Learning Renewal Opportunities and your local teacher association can assist with professional learning opportunities, including the West Metro Uniserve (offered each fall) and the MEA Convention.

What you Need to Submit to Human Resources:

• ONE Clock Hour Approval Form upon completion of your 125 CEU’s submitted during your relicensure year.
• Original verification forms for all experiences, including your Vector PD tracking transcript, grouped by Category A through I

What happens after you submit materials to Human Resources:

• HR will review your hours and approve or deny them.
• If approved, you must renew your license online at https://mn.gov/pelsb/current-educators/renew/
  • You CANNOT renew your license with PELSB (on the state’s website) until January 1^st
• Once you are notified by the state that your license has been updated, please email Manny at: banda.manuel@slpschools.org 

If you are not a teacher at SLP but are a resident of the city:

• Once your clock hours are reviewed, HR will contact you letting you know that you can pick up your materials at the District Office.

Note: The Continuing Education Committee meets three times each school year on the second Tuesday of October, February and May. Submissions should be received in Human Resources at least two days prior to the committee meeting.
