The St. Louis Park Middle School started a debate team through the Minnesota Urban Debate League this year. In the first year, the 26 member team has achieved high success at tournaments and plans to continue and expand debate at the middle school for future years.
In a joint program with Hopkins school district, young adults with disabilities, ages 18 to 21 receive opportunities to train for jobs, be involved in the community, and learn skills to live independently. Transition Plus services help students set and achieve their goals by providing specialized instruction, training, and support. Students have access to skill-development activities designed to meet their individual needs.
St. Louis Park Public School has a robust elementary enrichment program that provides culturally relevant talent development classes four days a week to every K-5 student through STEAM programming (science, technology, education and human development, the arts, and math.) The approach ensures all students benefit from strengths based, culturally-relevant enrichment programming that develops students' talents, skills and cognitive ability to engage at their highest levels.

Greetings,
I hope you are having a relaxing and enjoyable summer. While we certainly want you to take full advantage of the remaining weeks of summer, we want to check in to share some information that will assist you in getting off to a great start to the school year. When you have a moment, please review the contents of this publication as it contains information about supply lists, transportation, nutrition services, and upcoming summer events.
Additionally, I want to remind you about the upcoming August 9 Special Election. St. Louis Park Public Schools will have two questions on the ballot for this upcoming election. Both questions focus on items that will enhance the daily lived experience of students, stabilize costs and conserve energy, maintain core operations, and improve safety and security.

Early voting for the primary election began on June 24. If you are interested in voting early, you can vote at St. Louis Park City Hall now until August 8, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The hours will be extended for early voting on August 8 until 5:00 p.m.
