July 15, 2022 (This message appeared in the 7/15/22 special edition of the SLP Communicator)

Greetings,

I hope you are having a relaxing and enjoyable summer.  While we certainly want you to take full advantage of the remaining weeks of summer, we want to check in to share some information that will assist you in getting off to a great start to the school year. When you have a moment, please review the contents of this publication as it contains information about supply lists, transportation, nutrition services, and upcoming summer events.

Additionally, I want to remind you about the upcoming August 9 Special Election. St. Louis Park Public Schools will have two questions on the ballot for this upcoming election. Both questions focus on items that will enhance the daily lived experience of students, stabilize costs and conserve energy, maintain core operations, and improve safety and security.

To learn more about the questions, projects, and tax impact please visit our website at www.slpschools.org/2022referendum.

Early voting for the primary election began on June 24. If you are interested in voting early, you can vote at St. Louis Park City Hall now until August 8, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The hours will be extended for early voting on August 8 until 5:00 p.m.

Please vote! I hope you have an amazing second half of your summer break and I am looking forward to a great school year.

In community,

Astein
