Director of Human Resources: The Director of Human Resources serves as part of the Superintendents leadership team and is responsible for people systems and structures to support our Strategic Plan. Provides vision and leadership for the full scope of functions provided by the Human Resources (HR) Department, including workforce planning, talent management, compensation & benefits, and employee & labor relations. The Director works collaboratively with administration and employee groups to create new systems and structures for the HR Department and negotiates labor agreements with 11 employee groups to create a comprehensive compensation structure and terms and conditions of employment that supports District objectives and core values.
Human Resources Supervisor: The Human Resources Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily operations, functions, and staff of the Human Resources Department including workforce planning and forecasting, staffing, recruiting and talent management; consults with management to assess organizational needs and develop appropriate plans.
Human Resource Specialist - Staffing: This specialist position supports our recruitment and retention efforts with applicants and is an integral part of our overall staffing support and leave management process for schools and programs.
Human Resource Specialist - Compensation: This specialist position supports our HR Information Systems by creating and maintaining compensation and benefits forms, documents, and employment data; and provides assistance and professional support to employees as needed regarding pay and benefits.
Human Resource Assistant: The Assistant provides clerical and technical support for the HR Department functions in support of the HR Director, Supervisor and Specialists. Maintains personnel files, assists with interview preparation, scheduling and maintenance of selection process records.
District Receptionist: The District Receptionist is the first point of contact for staff and students, greets visitors, responds to incoming calls and directs them to the appropriate party, and monitors security screens and access to the building. Other duties may include record maintenance, document management and other assigned projects.
Function
Human Resource Policy and Strategic Direction - The HR Department is responsible for administering the policies, procedures and people systems and structures to support our District Strategic Plan.
- Staffing - The HR Department oversees the recruiting, hiring and placement for all staff positions in the District.
- Compensation/Benefits and Information Systems - The HR Department creates and maintains all records of employment status in Skyward and HR files, establishes information to pay employees and takes care of employee benefit questions and concerns. The HR team works with the Business Services Dept. with benefits set up so that premium payments can be processed and deductions set up in payroll.
- Labor Relations - The HR Department develops negotiations strategy (in consultation with district administration and the Board) bargains terms and conditions of employment aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Our team facilitates change through collective bargaining and meet and confer sessions with our 11 employee groups, dispute resolution and grievance processing, and provides guidance for District supervisors in working with employees and employee groups.
- Performance Management - We provide assistance to supervisors in managing employee job performance and conduct. Develop job descriptions with supervisors to define employee responsibilities and expectations. Advise and guide supervisors in coaching employees, handling performance and/or misconduct issues. Provide investigative services for complex or unusually difficult cases including Harassment or Bullying claims. Provide management support through all steps of the corrective action or discipline process.
