Assistant Athletic Director: Responsible for event workers, officials, home gate receipts, clubs and activities record keeping, and event supervision.

Staffing

Instructional Design and Support Coordinator: The Instructional Design and Support Coordinator leads and supports district-wide efforts to strengthen curriculum design, instructional practice, and educator development. This role guides the vision, design, and implementation of high-quality educational programs, focusing on continuous improvement, innovation, and culturally relevant learning strategies. In collaboration with district educators, the coordinator drives initiatives that enhance student learning and identities and strategically address the racial achievement gap. Through innovative practice and reflective leadership, this role advances instructional excellence and the brilliance of each learner. 

Function

The Instructional Design and Support Coordinator coordinates the Instruction and Learning Department to meet student needs and align PK–12 standards, curriculum, assessment, instruction, and professional development with district goals. They also provide work direction and accountability for Instruction and Learning staff, including curriculum oversight, educational programming, assessments, Q-Comp, and Federal Programs. They lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of instructional programs that reflect best practices and align with district and state standards.

Director of Information Services:  Is a member of the Superintendent’s cabinet, a member of the District Equity Leadership Team and primarily oversees all functions of the areas listed above.

Supervisor of Network Services: Designs, installs and maintains data network infrastructure. Responsible for administration of cyber security systems and internet services.

Supervisor of District Data Services: Oversees the installation and maintenance of district server infrastructure as well as data exchange systems. Acts as backup to Supervisor of Network Services.

Student Information System Specialist: Administrates the district Student Information System - Powerschool.

Digital Learning Specialist: Works with teaching staff one-on-one or in small groups to integrate technology tools into lesson plans.  Performs research and development with new technologies.

Supervisor of Technical Support Services: Supervises helpdesk staff and implements user and device deployment strategies.

Coordinator of Help Desk Services: Acts as foreman to digital learning assistants and provisioning staff that are part of help desk services. Coordinates daily Help Desk tasks prioritized by the Supervisor of Technical Support Services.

User and Device Provisioning Specialists: Perform moves, adds, changes in multiple IT systems that contain staff, and student user accounts. Performs tasks throughout the life-cycle of devices including provisioning, inventory, repair, and deprovisioning.  Also responds to Help Desk requests through phone and/or online ticketing system.

Digital Learning Assistants: Responds to user requests reported through the Help Desk. Proactively makes site visits to all district sites to resolve user requests and assists users with technical issues.

Staffing

Director of Student Services: As a member of the Teaching and Learning Team, the director ensures the district is in compliance with all aspects of the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) and state regulations.  Ensures the provision of high quality, inclusive academic and social emotional learning opportunities and supports for students with disabilities ages birth to 21.  The director is also the District Homeless Liaison and Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Point of Contact (foster students).  Similar support and direction is provided to staff serving students via health services, homeless and homebound education.

Assistant Directors of Student Services: There are two assistant directors who provide direct support to staff and students in their assigned buildings.  Their duties are in support of the Director’s responsibilities.

Function

The Student Services Department provides direction and leadership to the Special Education and Health Services Departments districtwide.  We also assist the building 504 Accommodation Plan Coordinators. Additionally, our department serves and partners with our non-public schools within the district boundaries in the areas of Special Education and Health Services.  This department also provides educational programming within the residential care and treatment facility located within the district.

Director of Human Resources:  The Director of Human Resources serves as part of the Superintendents leadership team and is responsible for people systems and structures to support our Strategic Plan.  Provides vision and leadership for the full scope of functions provided by the Human Resources (HR) Department, including workforce planning, talent management, compensation & benefits, and employee & labor relations.  The Director works collaboratively with administration and employee groups to create new systems and structures for the HR Department and negotiates labor agreements with 11 employee groups to create a comprehensive compensation structure and terms and conditions of employment that supports District objectives and core values.

Assistant Director of Human Resources: The Assistant Director of Human Resources supports the Director of Human Resources in leading the department and ensuring effective people systems and structures align with the district’s Strategic Plan. This role assists in managing key HR functions, including workforce planning, talent management, compensation & benefits, and employee & labor relations. The Assistant Director collaborates with administrators and employee groups to implement HR initiatives, support labor negotiations, and maintain compliance with employment policies. Additionally, they help develop and refine systems to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of HR operations while upholding the district’s objectives and core values.

Human Resource Consultants (2): These specialist positions supports our recruitment and retention efforts with applicants and is an integral part of our overall staffing support and leave management process for schools and programs. This specialist position also supports our HR Information Systems by creating and maintaining compensation and benefits forms, documents, and employment data; and provides assistance and professional support to employees as needed regarding pay and benefits.
 
Human Resource Specialist: The Assistant provides clerical and technical support for the HR Department functions in support of the HR Director, Supervisor and Specialists. Maintains personnel files, assists with interview preparation, scheduling and maintenance of selection process records.

District Receptionist: The District Receptionist is the first point of contact for staff and students, greets visitors, responds to incoming calls and directs them to the appropriate party, and monitors security screens and access to the building. Other duties may include record maintenance, document management and other assigned projects.

Human Resource Policy and Strategic Direction - The HR Department is responsible for administering the policies, procedures and people systems and structures to support our District Strategic Plan.

• Staffing - The HR Department oversees the recruiting, hiring and placement for all staff positions in the District.
• Compensation/Benefits and Information Systems - The HR Department creates and maintains all records of employment status in Skyward and HR files, establishes information to pay employees and takes care of employee benefit questions and concerns.  The HR team works with the Business Services Dept. with benefits set up so that premium payments can be processed and deductions set up in payroll.
• Labor Relations - The HR Department develops negotiations strategy (in consultation with district administration and the Board) bargains terms and conditions of employment aligned with organizational goals and objectives.  Our team facilitates change through collective bargaining and meet and confer sessions with our 11 employee groups, dispute resolution and grievance processing, and provides guidance for District supervisors in working with employees and employee groups.
• Performance Management - We provide assistance to supervisors in managing employee job performance and conduct.  Develop job descriptions with supervisors to define employee responsibilities and expectations. Advise and guide supervisors in coaching employees,  handling performance and/or misconduct issues.  Provide investigative services for complex or unusually difficult cases including Harassment or Bullying claims.  Provide management support through all steps of the corrective action or discipline process.

Director of Community Education: Provides leadership, direction and oversight of all Community Education Programs.  Supervises all department personnel either directly or through designated program managers. Manages the resources and budgets associated with the Community Education department. Connects with the community to determine needs and to provide opportunities for community discussion/input around important community issues. Integrates Community Education services with E-12 programming in alignment with the district’s strategic plan. 

Community Education Program Managers: Provide direct management, personnel supervision and oversight over specific department areas. Assist the Director in managing budgets. 

Community Education Program Supervisors: Assist Program Managers in providing the essential functions of their departments.

Community Education Program Administrative Assistants: Support the functions of the Community Education departments; provide first line service to prospective students and community.

Community Education Teachers/Educators/Paras/Instructors: Engage and instruct students at all levels of Community Education from Early Childhood to Youth to Adult. Included are licensed teachers, educators, paras, and contracted instructors.

Community Education also provides a bi-monthly Community Education Advisory Committee (CEAC) where members are charged with bringing forth the ideas and interests of community to the CE Director.

Staffing

Director: The Director of Assessment, Research and Evaluation oversees district-wide testing and collaborates with district leaders to communicate data to local stakeholders. The director is responsible for collaborating with members of the Teaching and Learning Team to provide professional development to schools and departments as needed. In addition to student achievement data, the director is responsible for approving research that is done within the district, whether it is teacher-led or in partnership with university researchers. 

Academic Testing Support Specialist: The Academic Testing Support Specialist is responsible for working directly with school assessment coordinators.  The Assessment Specialist is also a data analyst within the department. In this role, they analyze data that is requested from sites, design surveys and support in the research (data collection and analysis) and evaluation process. 

Data Scientist: The Data Scientist supports district-wide efforts to use data to inform decision-making, improve student outcomes, and advance equity. This role involves collecting and analyzing data across academic, operational, and programmatic areas. The Data Scientist works closely with departments and school sites to develop data dashboards, conduct predictive modeling, and translate complex findings into actionable insights. Additionally, the Data Scientist collaborates with the Director of Assessment, Research and Evaluation to support research and evaluation projects, ensuring data integrity and alignment with district priorities.

Function

The Department of Assessment, Research and Evaluation supports the district’s continuous improvement process by providing data and research on critical factors that impact the educational experiences of SLP students. This department oversees district-wide testing, student data collection, and works with schools to increase data literacy. Toward this goal, this department collaborates with district leaders (administrators and teacher leaders) to examine our district’s student achievement through the lens of current educational research and systems. For systems, we collaborate with different departments to provide and communicate data that helps those departments meet goals within the district’s strategic plan.
