Welcome to our 2021 Girls Tennis season! The St. Louis Park Tennis program has made tremendous strides over the past several years both in the numbers of players out for the sport and also in our successes. We, as coaches, are committed to creating a strong, hard working, team-centered program which we are eager to see grow in the years to come.
To the parents and families of our players, we thank you for your support and commitment to your student-athletes and to the tennis program. To our players, we thank you for your hard work and dedication to the sport and your own successes.
This is the sixth year we have had the numbers to support a B -Team. We have a JV/Varsity squad consisting of approximately 28 players.
In order for a student to receive a varsity letter, they must compete in a Varsity match.
Captains will be selected at the end season by the coaches. Players who are interested in being captain for the following season will be asked to fill out a brief questionnaire. Coaches will make the final decision based on leadership, commitment, integrity and attitude on and off the tennis court.
We expect our players to come see their coaches with any questions or concerns during the season. We also expect our players to give us a 24-hour notice via email or text message if they are unable to attend practice or play in a match. Players who miss practice/match without notifying their coaches will sit the next match.
We are very much looking forward to another great season! Thank you for your support.
