Shantell Harden is the 2022-23 Athena Award recipient. Shantell is an active go-getter, team captain, and Sun Sailor Athlete of the Year. In addition to her outstanding involvement in basketball, track and volleyball, Shantell is very active in the community. She participated in a research team that studied social justice in athletics, and she led a youth sports camp.

These are only a few of the many accomplishments she has achieved. Next year, Shantell plans to attend Minnesota State University, Mankato where she is excited to be playing basketball.
