Welcome Mr. Alonzo Parks as the next High School AP

We are pleased to announce that Mr. Alonzo Parks was selected to serve as our new 10-month High School Assistant Principal and will begin his role this summer. 

Mr. Parks has over 12 years experience as a successful educational leader serving in assistant principal, dean, academic and behavior strategy, community partnership, and special education teacher roles. Most recently, Mr. Parks served as the assistant principal of Battle Creek Elementary School in St. Paul Public Schools for the past three years.

Mr. Parks’ leadership values include cultivating positive relationships in the community, strong communication, and creative problem solving. His expertise is in designing curriculum, leading program initiatives, and supporting educators through quality observation and lesson plan feedback. Ultimately, his passion lies in creating favorable learning environments for students and educators. Mr. Parks also has a background in project management and community advocacy and support.

We know staff, students, and families are excited to meet their new AP! Mr. Parks may attend meetings and events yet this summer, however, most will have the chance to meet him in person near the start of the school year. 

Mr. Parks received his Masters of Education Leadership K-12 from Old Dominion University and Bachelor of Arts in History/African-American Studies from Howard University. He received his K-12 Education Specialist degree from Minnesota State Mankato.
