The high school Media Center houses 22,000 fiction, non-fiction, and reference books, including a number of eBooks in our Gale Virtual Reference Library. In addition, the Minneapolis Star Tribune and the St. Louis Park Sun Sailor are available daily, as well as popular magazines for leisure reading and check out. For research the Media Center subscribes to online databases and encyclopedias chosen to complement and extend the Electronic Library Minnesota (ELM) database resources provided by state funding. The Center also has a lab of 35 computer stations. Two wireless iBook carts serve as a supplemental lab in the Media Center or building classrooms. Some multimedia equipment, including a limited number of laptop computers are available for overnight student checkout. A combination printer/copier/scanner, and student project materials, are housed in the Media Center.
The Media Center is open every day school is in session from 7:30-3:30
The Media Center enforces the Internet Acceptable Use and Safety Policy 524 as established by the School District. Students who do not follow the policy may be denied computer access.
