  • Human Resources Department Mission

    The mission of the Human Resources Department is to solve employee issues so students can learn. We do this by providing support to schools and department leaders, employees and employee groups through planning, implementing and promoting human resource systems and structures that support the Superintendent’s vision and our Strategic Plan. Our work in human resources enhances the District's ability to attract, develop, and retain a diverse team of exceptional professionals who reflect the high standards our students, parents and community deserve.
    The Human Resources Department staff oversee the employment actions of more than 1000 full-time and part-time positions in the school district.

    The Department provides a range of Human Resources services including:
    • staffing/recruitment/retention of quality employees
    • employee/labor relations
    • training & development
    • human resources records management/time-off system
    • personnel transactions and general benefits questions
    • job classification compensation system
    • time off and leave of absence administration/FMLA
    • HR policy & procedure development
    • reserve teachers/substitute staff
