St. Louis Park Public Schools is excited to announce a new, free opportunity for parents, families, students and neighbors to talk about race and racism, called the HOPE Speaks Project. Parents and families of all races, and their children in grades 3-5, are invited to explore Honest, Open, Personal and Engaged (HOPE) conversations around race and racism.

We are celebrating St. Louis Park as we begin the 2019-20 school year! A special thanks to 2015 graduate Malik Augustus, who shared his voice to help us tell the story of how this community continues to put its Children First.
My heart is filled with gratitude for so many things. As the buses rolled away at the end of the day on Tuesday (my twentieth first day in SLP), I smiled inside knowing that our community rallied together on behalf of our children. With the move, there have been many changes for our families, students, and staff members, and during the last twenty months, we have remained focused on creating the best possible learning environment for our children.
A number of construction projects are taking place during the summer months at Aquila Elementary School, Park Spanish Immersion Elementary School, St. Louis Park Middle School, and St. Louis Park High School. Many of these projects will be completed before the first day of school on September 3, 2019, while other projects are ongoing.
Free and Reduced Meal applications can be completed online through the District's new meal payment system, Wordware. Families received a letter from the School Nutrition Department in early August about how to navigate this new system. If you prefer to fill out a paper copy, a Free and Reduced Meals Information Packet and Application will be mailed to all District families the week of Aug. 12, 2019.
The School Board for St. Louis Park Public Schools voted in three motions to change the school start and end times for students beginning in the 2020-21 school year. The School Board voted unanimously to move forward with the Triangle Option which calls for a three-tier system (Tier 1 – Elementary Schools; Tier 2 – High School; and Tier 3 – Middle School).
