Principal's Corner

Dear Park Spanish Immersion Elementary School Community:
Today is the last day of the 2019-2020 school year! It has been a year of unique opportunities! From where I stand, time is moving fast... I've heard it said that the days are long and the years are short, and that is resonating with me right now. As I watched the fifth grade student picture slide show yesterday, I was reminded of how quickly children grow up. Thank you to our amazing fifth grades who are transitioning to Middle School. I will miss them individually and as a group. I also want to give thanks to their families for their contributions to our community. We are excited for their new adventures.
During the 5th Grade Celebration of Learning event, I also saw many pictures of our home at Central; it seems like so long ago that we were there. Thank you for your patience and kindness as we have worked on creating new systems in our new building to better serve our community. This year has also brought our first ever distance learning experience. Thanks to all of you for your support. We have learned a lot, and we have appreciated anecdotal and survey feedback. We will use this as we reflect on the year.
I know there are a lot of questions about formats for next year. We will continue to communicate as information is available. In the interim, please continue to love your children, be kind to others, and work to create a better future for each and every child.
Do not hesitate to reach out if I can be of assistance this summer. I will continue to offer periodic "Coffee with Corey," also. Watch for more links in the coming weeks. The next one will be next Thursday, June 11 from 8:15 - 8:45 a.m. Click HERE to join the Google Meet on 6-11-20.
I'm looking forward to our Car Parade this afternoon. Click HERE for more details.
Kindest regards,
Corey Maslowski
