High School Theatre to Present The Amish Project

The St. Louis Park High School Theatre Program will present The Amish Project by Jessica Dickey, Jan. 18-20, as its annual Winter One-Act play.

The Amish Project is a fictional exploration of the Nickel Mines schoolhouse shooting in an Amish community, and the path of forgiveness and compassion forged in its wake. Each performance of this dramatic one-act play will be followed by a brief talk-back session during which the cast and crew will discuss the creative process of presenting this powerful and emotional story.

Evening performances on Friday, Jan. 18 and Saturday, Jan. 19 will begin at 7 p.m., while the matinee performance on Sunday, Jan. 20 will begin at 2 p.m. All performances will be held in the High School’s Carl A. Holmstrom Auditorium, located along the West 33rd Street entrance.

In lieu of ticket sales, the Theatre Program is asking attendees to make a pay what you can donation, which will be forwarded to a non-profit tragedy relief fund.
