School Start-End Times Team Recommends Two Options

The 2018-19 School Start-End Times Project Team held its fourth and final meeting on Monday, March 4. The group reviewed stakeholder feedback for the four options they developed in February and selected their first and second choice options to recommend to the School Board. Their recommendation follows with specific times and projected costs:

First Choice: OPTION TRIANGLE (Projected Cost: $1,053,000 / 2018-19 Cost = $981,000)

Second Choice: OPTION SQUARE (Projected Cost: $1,444,000 / 2018-19 Cost = $981,000)

The team will make its formal recommendation to the School Board at the Monday, March 11 Study Session. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the High School, Room C350. Please note: Open Forum is not on the agenda for this meeting.

  • Wednesday, March 13: Public Meeting with Facebook LIVE | High School, Room C350 | 6:00-7:30 p.m.
  • Monday, March 18: School Board Listening Session | Susan Lindgren, Media Center | 6:00-7:30 p.m.
  • Monday, March 25: School Board Meeting with Open Forum | High School, Room C350 | 7:00 p.m. *With construction starting on the old District Office space, the old District Office door is no longer an entrance for the public. If attending School Board Meetings, please enter at the circle doors, adjacent to the student office.
